Hello! My Name is CJ Carroll. I was born in Wilkes County. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior on September 18th, 2014 during a Revival. Roughly a month later, October 28th, 2014, I accepted the Lord’s spiritual call into the Preaching of the Gospel.
I graduated from Wilkes Central High School in 2019. During these years I remained busy working simultaneously on my Bachelor of Theology and my Associate of Music. I gained my Bachelors’s in Theology under Lee Davis at Grace Baptist Bible Institute in 2019. Additionally, I completed my Associate of Music under Ryan Marlow in 2019. Over the summers, I would work at Wilkes County Parks and Recreation, occasionally at Wilkes Family YMCA, and coach Recreation Basketball. Luckily, I watch a lot of UNC basketball so I did well.
After High School, I spent one year at Wilkes Community College finishing up my General Education courses. During this time, I also began attending Bethel Baptist Institute to pursue my Masters of Theology which I completed in 2020. Afterward, I transferred to Appalachian State University to obtain my degree in Physical Education and Health K-12 graduating in 2022.
After this time there have been plenty of experiences, internships, and preaching the Lord so marvelously guided me through. Most recently, I began my first teaching job at Central Wilkes Middle School as a 7th grade Science Teacher. Currently, I have had the honor of accepting the Interim Pastor position here at New Hope Baptist Church. The church is full of extremely loving, friendly, and God-fearing individuals. My goal is to see the Gospel spread, souls saved, see the church grow, and have the congregation become more knowledgeable and educated in the scriptures. Through all these milestones, objectives, and more, I desire to continue becoming what God would have me be so that I and those around me maybe lights for those in darkness.
Lastly, the Lord has given me a wonderful fiance. Kaydin and I began dating on August 16th, 2021. Growing together in the Lord has been an absolute dream come true. All of these items throughout this mini-biography aren’t credited to me but all praise to God! I cannot complain, life is tough but God is good! Even when those Tar Heels aren’t winning. Nonetheless, come join us for service at New Hope Baptist Church. We would love to have you!
